BEAN BAGS FOR FUN

The 2008 fundraiser "Bean Bags for Fun" was a huge success. Through donations, raffles and bean bag games the Foundation raised a little over $12,000! The music of Blue Sunday, the wonderful refreshments, the games and, most of all, the good company made for an afternoon of fun for everyone who attended.

The Foundation thanks Bean Bag Games Unlimited, Inc. in Oak Lawn for loaning all of the beanbag games for this year's event. Also, we thank Earthwisebags.com for donating the reusable canvas grocery bags that will be given to those who attend the event.

Congratulations to the first place winners of the bean bag tournament: Mike Breier and Steve Kotwica, and the second place winners: Gene Davies and Bob Serritella. We would like to heartily thank all four men for donating their winnings back to the Foundation.

BEAN BAGS FOR FUN

The 2007 fundraiser "Bean Bags for Fun" was a huge success. Through donations, raffles, and bean bag games the Foundation raised almost $13,000. The music of Blue Sunday, the good food, the games and, most of all, the good company made for an evening of fun for everyone who attended.

Congratulations to the first and second place winners of the tournaments! We would like to thank Tom Gbur for donating $140 of his first place winnings back to the Foundation.

BENEFIT CONCERT (The G of C Jamboree)
Thank you to those that helped to make the G of C Jamboree such a success. This event was unique in that it was designed and executed by a group of teens that had a connection to Carl. A special thanks goes out to this committee, its advisor Pat Vanhal, and the individuals and businesses that donated their time and other contributions.

The G of C Jamboree was held at Darien Community Park on August 8, 2006 from 4-8 P.M. Live music was provided by local bands Harps Hill and Royal flush, Amanda Horvath, Ben Avci, Kevin Molloy, Sean Molloy and their friends. Approximately $1900 was raised! We are considering making this event an annual occurrence. Thanks for coming out and, as always, helping to carry on Carl’s memory.

Thanks to the Ms. Zurbano and the EJH Band for collecting and donating approximately $700.  Various sections of the band collected funds for the foundation in lieu of gifts to Ms. Zurbano.

BOWLING FOR FUN
Dear Family and Friends of Carl,

Thank you for supporting our first fundraiser for “The Gift of Carl Foundation”. Everyone had a fun time bowling, and the day was very successful. We raised over $8,000 from the raffles and bowling. A big THANK YOU to Alissa Dappas who was the winner of the $730 Split the Pot, in which she so graciously donated her half back to the Foundation.

The Foundation also took in numerous cash donations from donors, known and unknown, who were unable to attend the bowling function. Our GRAND total was just over $13,000.00.
